September 2003 - Distributed
Generation and Fuel Cells
Mr. Thomas Aubee will discuss applications for distributed generation and fuel
cells. Mr. Aubee is the Vice President of Global MicroGen. Global MicroGen
focuses on distributed generation, power quality & reliability, renewables,
and alternate fueled transportation infrastructure development. Mr. Aubee has
extensive experience in the commercialization and application of fuel cell and
microturbine technologies as well the development of alternate fueling systems
incorporating CNG, LPG, and LNG fuels. Prior to joining Global MicroGen, Mr.
Aubee was the founder and President of Alternate Energy Corporation, a Rhode
Island-based provider and integrator of advanced energy technologies. His

October 2003 -
NOx rulings in Georgia
Susan Jenkins, NOx Permit Unit Manager for the Georgia DNR presented for our
October meeting. The NOx Permitting Unit is a unit within the Stationary Source
Permitting Program, Air Protection Branch, Environmental Protection
Division, Department of Natural Resources. Susan's presentation is here

November 2003 - Wayne Robertson from
Energy
Ace on LEED™ in the Southeast.
The presentation will be an introduction to the LEED program. Wayne will describe the basic details of
the program and how it is developing nationally and in the Southeast. Example projects and popular LEED measures being
implemented successfully in Southeastern projects will be discussed.
January 2004 - Electricity Transmission
Grid
Georgia Power will present on the status of the electric grid in Georgia and across
the country.
February 2004 - Open Protocol Control
Systems
Ed Cerbone from IEC Systems will
provide an overview/update on open systems including LonWorks and BacNet.
He is involved with open systems through his work with Echelon and the Open
Systems Alliance.
March 2004 - Energy Efficient Transformers
Tim Van Horn from AC & DC Technologies will discuss energy efficient
