September 26th, 2005 - Waste to Energy Project
Gary Nichols from Shaw Industries and Clark Wiedetz from Siemens Building Technologies discussed the waste to energy project at Shaw Industries.

October 31st, 2005 - The meeting will honor Phil Smith, who has been selected as the Region II Energy Engineer of the Year. Phil is the Director of Federal Project Development for Sempra Energy Services. Al Thuman, Executive Director of AEE, will be present to provide an update on recent AEE events and programs. Following the award ceremony, Phil will provide a brief talk regarding developing and implementing energy projects. He will focus on the hurdles he faces as well as solutions to these challenges.

November/December 2005 - No meeting

January 30th, 2006 - Site Tour of the Atlantic Station Chiller Plant

February 27, 2006 - Chris White - Interim Director for the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance will discuss current initiatives undertaking by the SEEA.

March 27, 2006 - Aarti Mandavia from Aerotek Energy Services will discuss the energy/utility career market. Aarti will discuss industry trends and skills that are in demand.  Aerotek Energy Services is one of the largest providers of specialized personnel and management services to the commercial nuclear industry, the Department of Energy, the utilities industry, and engineering and consulting firms throughout North America. 

April 24th, 2006 - Bill Sheehan will discuss the natural gas market; past, present, and future.  Bill manages natural gas accounts of over 1 bcf per month for Atmos Energy.  He will also discuss risk management strategies.  His presentation is here. (5MB)
